Guess how I started writing this post? All I said was "new post" and my computer opened the window for me. I know I'm slow, but I just figured this out today and it's awesome. Go to system preferences>system>speech>and turn on speakable items. A little blue circle will appear and you can now control your computer via voice commands. On default, you hold the esc. key and say a voice command like "what time is it?" or "switch to Safari." There's a whole list of them if you click on Open Speech Commands. It's pretty neat when you ask what time it is because a voice actually says it for you, even though it's completely pointless because finding the time is a glance away. Something extremely cool is going to a website (eg:Facebook) and then saying "make this speakable." A window will pop up letting you choose what voice command to say for that website. Now all you have to do is say "Facebook" and a new Safari window will pop up with Facebook. It works pretty well, except sometimes it gets messed up. This thing is kinda pointless, but a feature that is neat nonetheless.
