IGN is claiming that a new Nintendo DS will be making it's way onto shelves around April-May of 2009. There will supposedly be 2 touch screens-both on the bottom and the top. I love these mockups that Gizmodo made, but I don't really understand the wide screen part. Won't that make games made earlier basically incompatible or flat out unplayable? Sure I would love it if the screen was a little bigger, but what's the use of widescreen?
In regards to the dual touchscreens, won't this also make previous games incompatible? I'm sure you could play them, but I'm sure they would not be as much fun as the newer games with dual touch screens.
I'm all up for a new Nintendo DS, it's just that some things need to be more thought out.
